Kelly Culbertson, DVM
Dr. Kelly Culbertson is a 1991 Summa Cum Laude (#1 in his class) graduate from Texas A&M University. A native of Texas, he has lived and worked in Ocala since graduating from veterinary school. He is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Florida Veterinary Medical Association and the Marion Veterinary Medical Association (Past President; Past Secretary/Treasurer). He is also active in the Morriston Baptist Church serving as a Deacon, Sunday School Teacher and a member of the Finance Committee. Dr. Culbertson is married with one son Preston, a daughter Hanna, and three animal children. He is an avid fisherman who enjoys spending time with his family and playing guitar.
Pam Neiser, DVM
Dr. Pam Neiser is a 1993 Summa Cum Laude graduate from Auburn University.She and Dr. Culbertson have worked together since 1994, beginning at the Ocala Animal Emergency Hospital where she served as an emergency veterinarian. Dr. Neiser has also worked as a relief veterinarian at various local hospitals. She began doing relief work at Town and Country in 1998. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association. Dr. Neiser is married with one son David, a daughter Emily, two dogs and a cat.
Lani Mills, DVM
Dr. Lani Mills is a 2002 graduate of the University of Florida. Following graduation, Dr Mills did an internship at a specialty hospital in Atlanta Georgia. She is a Florida native, and grew up near St.Petersburg, Florida. Dr. Mills moved to Ocala in 2006. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Florida Veterinary Medical Association. Dr Mills has been with us since July 2014. Dr. Mills is married and has four children. She also has two dogs, a cat, and five chickens. In her free time, Dr. Mills enjoys hiking, swimming, and spending time with her family.
Hannah Findlay, DVM
Dr. Hannah Findlay joined our Town and Country family in August, 2016. Dr. Findlay was raised in Durham, North Carolina, received her Bachelor of Science from Virginia Tech and her DVM from Auburn University (War Eagle!) in 2015. Dr. Findlay is a member of the AVMA and is an avid runner, having completed several half marathons and a full marathon in 2013. Dr. Findlay recounts her favorite times in Thailand where she cooperated with Loop Abroad, a program that worked with children to teach them the importance about animal health, spay and neuter care. In fact, Dr. Findlay is no stranger to travel, having spent most of her early twenties studying abroad; she studied in England, visited the Galapagos Islands for shelter/clinic work followed by New Zealand in 2015 where she spent time in Hobbiton, a mythical real-life recreation of a town from Lord of the Rings. To say Hannah Findlay is an adventurer is an understatement and we are so happy she has chosen Town and Country to be a part of her family.
Nichole Moore, DVM
Dr. Moore joined our amazing veterinary team in July 2017. Dr. Moore comes from a thick line of family Veterinarians as both of her parents own practices in Brandon and Tampa, Florida. She has been immersed in Veterinary life since she was a child and has roots as a competitive horseback rider. Originally from Brooksville, Florida, Dr Moore has dual citizenship in Italy and has traveled to Australia, Ireland, Scotland, Honduras, Switzerland, England, the Virgin Islands and the Bahamas. Dr. Moore is a proud University of Florida 2015 graduate and has a mass amount of scholarships under her belt which include the AAEP Winner’s Circle Scholarship, The Frances P Weaver Memorial scholarship, the Merial Research Scholarship, the AVMF Veterinary Student Scholarship and currently has two papers awaiting publication in the Equine Surgery Magazine. To call Dr. Moore “well rounded” might be the understatement of the year. Dr Moore took part in the Student Chapter American Association of Equine Practitioners Club (SCAAEP), Veterinary Business Management Association (VBMA), Student Chapter of American Veterinary Medical Association (SCAVMA) and is a Delta Delta Delta Sorority Alumni. But Dr. Moore isn’t all business, she loves to travel, spend time with her husband who is a golf instructor at Golden Ocala and be with her two dogs and five horses. We are so excited that Dr. Nichole Moore chose to join our team at Town and Country Animal Hospital and we know you’ll love her too!
Jennifer, Practice Manager
Jennifer is the practice manager of Town and Country Hospital. An Ocala native, she has lived in Ocala since the 1st grade. Jennifer has worked in the small animal veterinary field since 1991 where she worked with Dr. Culbertson at another practice in Ocala before assisting him with the opening of Town and Country in 1997. She originally started out as a veterinary technician before assuming her current position. She enjoys her career in the veterinary field because of the bonds built between staff, patients and their owners. She is married and has one son, Logan and two daughters, Belle and Morgan. She also has four cats and two French Bulldogs. She enjoys spending time with her family, gardening and reading.
Client Service Specialist
Amanda is ACT certified CCS and team leader of the Client Care Specialist. She has worked with animals since 1996, but some of her fondest childhood memories are of "Bear" a beloved chow chow mix. Amanda has been with us since February of 2004 and has been taking care of our clients ever since. She enjoys working with animals because they are loyal and kind, and they are great listeners. They can always keep a secret! She enjoys working with our clients because of the trust that is built and the friendship that is made with them. She is married with two sons, Hayden and Ashton, two dogs and a cat.
Kat has been a Client Care Specialist with us since February 2015. She moved to Ocala when she was nine from South Florida. Kat has always been a people person which is why she is a great asset to our team. While in high school she was a competitive gymnast and cheerleader as well as a reporter. She also participated in FFA and has had a variety of animals. Kat graduated from the CTAE Vet Assistant program in June 2013 and started her career in animal care. She has two pit bulls Nala and Ginger and Two cats Abagail and Taz.
Kristina joined our Town & Country Family in December of 2016 as a Client Care Specialist. Kristina grew up on a horse farm that doubled as a respected breeding facility for Jack Russell Terriers. Having worked so closely with animals of different shapes and sizes, Kristina knew that she was wanted a career in the animal field from an early age and wanted her children to have the same kind of childhood she did. Some of Kristina’s hobbies include taking adventurous walks with her family and photography. Kristina currently has an abundance of fur babies which include three dogs, a kitten, a pair of ferrets, a bearded dragon, some hens and some fish. Kristina is passionate about animal care and devotes her energy and passion to their care. “Animals are amazing creaturs. They love you unconditionally no matter what you have done in your past. They will always be there for you no matter what it is that you need from them.” We think that love and dedication radiates through her work ethic every day and we are so happy she is on our team!
Brittany is ACT certified Technician and has been with us since August of 2008. She has been working in the veterinary field since 2006 and has an AA degree in Veterinary Science. She has lived in Dunnellon her whole life. She is married with a son, three dogs, two cats, and two horses. She enjoys horse back riding and water sports including boating and fishing.
Heidi is a state licensed Veterinary Technician in both Florida and Wisconsin who has worked in the veterinary field since 1988. She holds a Bachelors degree in biology and an Associates degree in veterinary technology. She is also ACT certified. Heidi has been a part of our team since July of 2005. She likes using her skills to help animals when they are sick, plus sharing her knowledge with fellow pet lovers to help keep their pets well. She is married and has three cats named Angus, Gavin and Nevin.
Jaclyn is an ACT certified Veterinary Technician who has been working in the veterinary field since 2006. She worked at the emergency hospital before joining our team in June of 2010. Jaclyn is one of two of our Technician Team Leaders. She has lived in Dunnellon her whole life and enjoys the small town feel. She is very passionate about animals and believes a house is not a home without an animal living there. She is married and has six dogs, three cats, and a horse. In her free time Jaclyn love to spend time doing outdoor things.
Laurie joined our team in May 2016. She is originally from sunny Miami and has over 20 years of Vet Tech experience. Laurie is certified in laser therapy and originally thought about going into Veterinary School but decided that she loved being a Technician too much. Laurie is a country girl and enjoys NASCAR , riding horses and football. She currently has three dogs, three cats, two rabbits, two parrots, ten chickens, three turkeys, six horses and one snake. Talk about a love for all animals!
Linda has been with us since June 2016 and has extensive experience as a Veterinary Technician. She started her career in the veterinary field in 1991 working in the kennel. Originally from Jacksonville Florida, she moved to Ocala in 1995 with her husband so that he could join the Ocala Police Department and she started working as a veterinary technician. Some of her hobbies include astronomy, reading, metal detecting and perfecting her skills at the gun range. She currently has two Jack Russell terriers and two cats. Linda feels that she “has a passion to help animals and their owners and (the feeling) grows stronger every day.
Kenzie was born in Michigan and has lived in six different states before moving to Ocala, Florida in 2016. Prior to moving here, Kenzie attended Fox College in Tinley Park, where she graduated with a Veterinary Technology degree. She became a part of our Town and Country family in January, 2016. She grew up with family ties to an animal rehabilitation center so she is no stranger to wild life care. Kenzie currently has two dogs and three cats. She enjoys reading, traveling and loves to be able to watch animals grow up and learn. When asked why she loves animals, she states “I’m never bored with my pets and it’s never quiet.”
Sam is an ACT certified Veterinary Technician. She was born and raised in Ocala, Florida. She has grown up with various animals including horses, dogs, and cats. She joined our team and a career with animal medicine in January of 2011. She now shares her home with her four legged children. Cowboy, Junior, Diesel, and Felicia. Sam also has a cat named Miss Puss. When Sam is not working, she enjoys photography, horse back riding, and taking all of her dogs to the river.
Shane is a veterinary technician who joined our team in September of 2015. He started in the animal field at another practice in 2014, first in the kennel before learning technical skills. Shane was brought to the field by his love of animals, passion for medicine and thirst to help make a difference. He has a German Shepherd named Molly and a raccoon named Carlos. Shane loves all outdoor activities including BMX, snowboarding, and surfing.
Mandi joined our Animal Care Attendant team in August, 2016. She is originally from New Hampshire, has been working with animals since she was 15. Before moving to Florida, Mandi worked as a Veterinary Technician at a Humane Society and loved knowing that her compassion and dedication made a difference in the lives of each pet that came her way. Since joining our team, Mandi has had such a positive impact on the ACA team, she was promoted to Team Leader. She’s been a strong, driving force and we are so happy she’s joined our family. She has a passion for Great Danes and currently has two named Murray and Mya. When she isn't working, Mandi loves gardening, woodworking and fishing.
Stacy joined the Town and Country family in November 2017 and is a Certified Veterinary Technician. She has worked in several hospitals in both Florida, Mississippi and Georgia. Stacy loves how hands-on her profession is and that she can treat each and every patient as if they were her own. In her free time, Stacy teaches 5th grade bible study on Wednesday and Sunday nights. Stacy enjoys spending time with her husband, her daughter, three cats, a mini poodle and a guinea pig.
Animal Care Attendant
Marsha is originally from the North East but has the charm of a southern woman. She loves animals and says that making their day better through compassion and love makes all the difference. Marsha loves her work as an Animal Care Attendant because she gets to interact with animals of all different personalities. She says “Every animal is different just as we are and that’s what [makes] them so special.” Marsha is actually the mother in law of our team lead Animal Care Attendant, Mandi. Talk about a family business!
Shannon is an animal care attendant that has been with our team since March 2015. She is a native Floridian and has lived in Ocala most of her life. Shannon grew up with all types of animals so she learned how to take care of them at a young age. Shannon has worked as an animal care attendant at previous places for over 12 years before joining our team. She has five dogs: Casey, Killer Taco, Trixie, Bandit, Cody and a cockatiel names Baby.
Becky is a Veterinary Assistant and has been a part of our team since May 2014. She loves working with all of our patients by providing her nurturing care. Becky hopes to become a CVT in the near future, and in the further future achieving a degree in Vertebrate Taphonomy. She was born and raised in Ocala. She is the proud owner of a cattle dog named Layla and a cat names Jigsaw. When she isn't spending her time working, Becky enjoys drawing, painting, traveling and being outdoors. When she can, she likes to participate in camping, kayaking, skating, and spending time with friends and family.
Shannon is an ACT certified Veterinary Assistant that joined our team in April 2015. Shannon is getting her degree in Veterinary Technology and hopes to become certified as a CVT. She is a native Floridian and has lived in Tampa most of her life before moving to Ocala in 2014. While in Tampa, Shannon worked at a large pet resort. After she moved to Ocala, she worked as a animal care attendant as well as an assistant before she joined our team. Shannon lives with her boyfriend and her cat named Ellie Mae. She spends her free time writing short stories, gardening, archery, and hiking with her boyfriend. If she could work with any type of animals, Shannon would work with sea turtles at the rehabilitation facility in the Keys.
Paige came to our team in October 2017 from northern New Jersey. Paige is an all American Athlete, having played D2 softball for the University of Pennsylvania. Her goal is to eventually train to be a certified Veterinary Technician and loves that being an assistant gives her so much hands on training and experience. Paige currently lives with her fiancé Kyle, two ferrets and a Labrador named Nacho. Paige states that animals “bring absolute joy to my life and being able to be a part of helping all the fur babies is so rewarding and fun!”
Jazmin is a groomer who has been in the grooming field for 15 years. She joined our team in May 2016. Jazmin was “born into it" since her mother is a groomer as well, who taught her the skills needed to assist her at a young age. Originally from Dallas, Jazmin moved to Ocala 20 years ago for the Florida country life and horse scene. She currently has a border collie named “Stella” and she enjoys barrel racing, rodeos, dog shows, boating and fishing. When asked why she loves working with animals, Jazmin says “They always know when you need cheering up and try their hardest to help you.
Terri is a groomer with over 20 years of experience and has been with Town & Country part-time since 1998. When not working here she works full time for Levy County EMS, having been an EMT since 1991. She has been breeding Cocker Spaniels for over 25 years, producing several AKC champions, has shown all breeds for 20 years, and has been an obedience instructor. Her and her husband have several 'fur-kids': two horses, two cats, a rabbit and three dogs. In her free time she enjoys riding horses and spending time with her family and friends.
